MILLBURY Francis X. McGee, 71, of 8 Abbott Place., died Wednesday, Oct. 26th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester.
He leaves his wife Janet M. (McGee) McGee; two children, Maura A. McGee of Ft. Myers, FL. and Kieran F. McGee of Worcester; two sisters, Elizabeth McGee of Waltham and Judith Hopkins of Hartford, CT; two grandchildren. Kateri and Aidan McGee. He was born in Worcester, son of Adam and Louise (Callahan) McGee. He graduated from St. JohnTM)s High School on Temple St. in Worcester in 1951 and graduated from Clark University.
Mr. McGee was Associate Field Representative in the Maintenance & Construction Department for New England Powers Service Company for 34 years, before retiring. He was a Specialist in the Massachusetts National Guard 3rd Service Co. 181 Infantry Division from 1951 to 1956. He then served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist for four years. He was a member of the St. JohnTM)s Alumni Assoc., the Vernon Hill American Legion Post in Worcester and the Adelphi Knights of Columbus in Shrewsbury and the Scottish-American Military Society.
His funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 29th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. PhilipTM)s Cemetery, Grafton. Calling hours are 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday Oct. 29th, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donorTM)s choice.
