MILLBURY Francis J. Niemiec Sr., 74, of 5 Maple St., died Monday, Aug. 28th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Beverly A. (Brady) Niemiec; two sons, Francis J. Niemiec Jr. of Millbury and Joseph C. Niemiec of Webster; four daughters, Audra M. Niemiec and Joanne A. Bergstrom both of Millbury, Deborah M. Brady of Worcester and Helen M. Niemiec of Webster; a sister, Alice A. Moninski of Dudley; 14 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Dudley son of Frank Niemiec and Helen and Omer (Bembenek) Forand.
Mr. Niemiec was a custodian of surgery at St. Vincent Hospital for 29 years before he retired. He was an Army veteran during the Korean War and was a member of the Auburn SportsmanTM)s Club.
His funeral will be held Friday, Sept. 1st from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 10 Waters St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31st in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 33 Lyman St., Westborough, MA 01581.
