SUTTON - Frank W. Girard, 75, of 122 Boston Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester, after being stricken at home.
He leaves a brother, Robert B. Girard of Sutton. He was born in Worcester, son of Fred C. and Edna J. (Bullard) Girard and has lived in Sutton all his life. He graduated from Sutton High School and then from Becker Junior College in Worcester.
Mr. Girard worked for the Millbury Highway Department for three years. Previously he worked on the family farm for many years. While farming at different times, he was Highway Surveyor for the town of Sutton, Sutton Town Clerk, a mail carrier for Millbury and Sutton and did landscape work. He was an Army Staff Sergeant during WW II serving in Germany.
He was a member of the Dudley Gendron American Legion Post
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept.28, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the funeral home.
