MILLBURY Frank J. Parella Sr., 89, formerly of Millbury, died Wednesday, Sept. 21st in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after a short illness.
His wife, Annette ( Pelletier) Parella died in 1988. He leaves, two sons, Frank J. Parella Jr. of Grafton and Richard A. Parella of Millbury; two daughters, Arlene A. Army of Millbury and Jeanne M. Marshall of New Jersey.; two sisters, Mildred Bussolari and Natalie DiRienzo both of Worcester, ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by two sisters and four brothers. He was born in Worcester, son of Antonio and Pasqalina (Catania) Parella and moved to Millbury in 1947.
Mr. Parella owned and operated Frank J. Parella Realty for 35 years, retiring in 1970. He graduated from New England School of Accounting in 1936 and was a licensed real estate broker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
His funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 24th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, 89 Main St., South Grafton. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, South Grafton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday Sept. 23rd, in the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701, or to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
