MILLBURY Fred L. Pillsbury, 72, of 271 Riverlin Sreet., died Wednesday, December 8th in his home, after an illness.
He leaves his wife, Veronica Ann (Cahir) Pillsbury; two sons, Mark A. Pillsbury of Charlton and Michael J. Pillsbury of Worcester; two daughters, Wendy Ayotte of Charlton and Darlene Pond of Goodyear, Arizona; five sisters, Pearl Greco and Hope Goings both of Farmington, Maine, Ruby Faunce of Turner, Maine, Iris Allison of Ono, Pa. and Joyce Hassinger of Mashpee; three brothers, Verdell Pillsbury and George Pillsbury both of Farmington, Maine and Charles Pillsbury of Anthem Arizona; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Rangeley, Maine, son of Leon William and Frances (Farren) Pillsbury.
Mr. Pillsbury was a truck driver for Consolidated Freight Systems for 10 years and for Spector Freight System for 22 years, retiring in 1993. He was Army veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of the Dudley Gendron American Legion Post in Sutton and enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting and beaches.
His funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 11th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be private in St. JohnTM)s Cemetery, Worcester.. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10th, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice
