WORCESTER - Gary R. Crandall, 63, died Friday, Dec. 2nd at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, after being stricken ill at home.
Gary leaves his wife, Cindy E. (Chase) Crandall; two children, Gary Ross Crandall and his wife Emily of Millbury and Kristin L. Crandall of West Boylston; two step-children, Jason Ramalho and his wife, Kristen of Hollis, NH and Jolene Ramalho of Fitchburg, five grandchildren, Dominic, Delaney and Kadin Ramalho, Wiley Holmes and Caroline Crandall; a sister, Darlene K. Major and her husband Lenny of Brookfield; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born in Holden and is predeceased by his parents, W. Douglas and Shirley M. (Reardon) Crandall and a brother, Linwood D. Crandall.
He graduated from David Prouty High School in 1971 and then worked at Digital Equipment Corp. He was now currently working at United Natural Foods, in RI. He played baseball and basketball for David Prouty High School. He enjoyed coaching children's soccer in Worcester and West Boylston and also enjoyed following the local sports teams. He loved spending time with his family, especially during the holidays. His hugs and infectious laugh will be greatly missed by all.
Gary's calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. His funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
