MILLBURY- Gary P. Salmonsen, 69, of 13 Juniper Dr., died Thursday, June 8th in his home, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 38 years, Rebecca A. (Burr) Salmonsen; two sons, Sean P. Salmonsen of Millbury and Eric M. Salmonsen and daughter-in-law Karine of Worcester; two brothers, Lorance P. Salmonsen Jr. and Robert Salmonsen both of Douglas; a sister, Ima Anderson in Worcester; three grandchildren, Shane, Trevor and Kellen Salmonsen; nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents. Lorance P. and Liv E. (Nielsen) Salmonsen. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School and received an Associates Degree in Business Administration at Worcester Junior College.
Mr. Salmonsen was a Worcester County salesperson for more than 30 years for Richco Products located in Springfield. He previously worked at the SalmonsenTM)s Dairy in Worcester. He was an U. S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Millbury Baptist Church.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 11th, in the Millbury Baptist Church, Main St., Millbury. Burial will be private in All Faith Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Millbury Baptist Church, P.O. Box 222, Millbury, MA 01527.
