Genevieve "Geni" A. (Szerlag) Misiaszek, 80, of South Grafton, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Northbridge.
She leaves her husband of 57 years, Theodore J. Misiaszek; her dearest friends, Cathy and Brian Maranda and their children, Amanda and Matthew of Grafton; several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester daughter of Frank J. and Katy (Szerliga) Szerlag.
Mrs. Misiaszek retired from Commerce Insurance Co. in Webster. Previously she worked at United Air Craft in Hartford CT, Norton Company in Worcester and Holms Transportation of Framingham. She was past Regant of the Daughters of Isabella, St. Margaret Circle of South Grafton and the past State Treasurer of the Daughters of Isabella of Massachusetts.
Genevieve's funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday Aug. 18th in St. James Church, 89 Main St. in South Grafton and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton. The family respectfully requests that those attending the Mass, go directly to the church. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fr. John L. Henault of Haiti, in care of Gerald A. Henault, 29 Blackstone St., Sutton, MA 01590. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements.
