WORCESTER – George A. D'Auteuil Jr., 49, of Worcester died Monday, March 14, 2011 in the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a devoted father of two sons, Matthew G. and Brendan T. D'Auteuil, of Worcester. George leaves his parents, George A. D'Auteuil Sr. and Pauline T. (Bernard) D'Auteuil of Millbury. He also leaves two sisters, Michelle T. Desorcy, wife of Donald P. Desorcy of Millbury and Monique M. Hager, fiancee of Alexander M. Buko, of Worcester. He also leaves one brother, Paul J. D'Auteuil of Millbury. He leaves six nieces and nephews. He also leaves two uncles, Arthur P. Bernard and his wife, Simone and Ron D'Auteuil and his wife, Marie, as well as several cousins.
George graduated from Holy Name Central Catholic High School in 1979 and Bryant College in 1984 with a MBA in Management and BSBA in Computer Information Systems. In 1987, he received an ASBS in Engineering Management from Central New England College.
George spent his entire career in the software industry, with his most recent position being the Vice President, Applications Solutions Group Business Development at Oracle Corporation. Prior to this, he was CEO of IntelliCorp, Inc., a SAP partner. In 1998, SAP acquired a German firm K&V Informations Systems where George was head of US Operations. He also directed Northeast Sales Operations for a leading business analytics firm, Pilot Software.
George was very active with his sons and served as a coach in Tris Speaker little league baseball and he coached basketball and soccer for Venerini Academy. George found solace and had many happy memories of the beaches at Cape Cod.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Vincent Ho and Dr. Gabriela Motyckova as well as the staff at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion. In addition, we would like to thank everyone who supported the bone marrow drives.
His calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 in the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. His funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 10 Waters St. in Millbury. Those attending the funeral Mass are respectfully requested to go directly to the church, for the funeral Mass. Burial will be private in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of George A. D'Auteuil Jr. to Dana Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center, Bone Marrow Transplant Program, Attention J.
