SUTTON – George E. Amour, 81, died Thursday, Aug. 6th in the Life Care Center in Auburn.
He leaves his wife, Dorothy A. (Hairyes) Amour; two son, Michael Amour of Phoenix, AR and Daniel Amour of Florida; a daughter, Brenda Gauvin of Sutton; four sisters, Betty Liebhart of Phoenix, AR, Carol Smith of Seattle, WA, , Barbara Sample of AR and Nancy Snay of Uxbridge; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Millbury and is predeceased by his parents, George and Harriet (Foshay) Amour, a daughter, Linda Connolly, two sister, Arleen Fanon and Harriet Amour and a brother, William Amour.
Mr. Amour worked for R.H. White Construction Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1989. He was a former member of the National Rifle Association, the Mass. Police Association and the MBBA Fishing Club.
Private burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Sutton. Mulhane Home for Funerals, in Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements.
