MILLBURY – George C. Andersen Sr., 95, died Thursday, Nov. 26th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Mary (Badrigian) Andersen; a son, George C. Andersen Jr. of Millbury; nieces, Christine Riccio of Worcester, Carol Bruso of Leominster, Lois Swenson of Florida and the Badrigian family nieces; a nephew, Stanley Erickson of Maine.
He was a 2nd class fireman at Morgan Construction Company in Worcester, retiring in 1987. He was a WW II Army veteran, serving in the European African Middle Eastern and Pacific Theaters. Among his ribbons were the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star.
His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday Dec 3rd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. A calling hour will be held 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral service in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
