George "Curly" Chevalier, 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on January 29th from COPD and Lung Cancer.
He retired from the UMASS Medical Center maintenance department after many years. He loved to play pedal steel guitar in local country bands which he did for many years. He also had a passion for building model boats in his spare time.
George is preceded by his daughter, Wendy "Breezy" Kerswell.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judith (Fors) Chevalier. His children, Michael Chevalier(best friend), Kevin Simpson and his wife, Rachel Simpson, Cheryl Melendez and her partner, Laura Frotten, Robyn, Paul and Norman Chevalier; son-in-law, Ron Kerswell; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A special thanks to Asera Care, Sandy, Nurse Meryl, Aid Beverly and rest of the staff.
George's funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
