Millbury - George M. MacKoul, 71, died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 2nd at Milford Regional Medical Center.
He leaves his wife, Paulette R. (DiPilato) MacKoul; two sons, Michael G. MacKoul and his wife Kimberly of Millbury and Matthew J. MacKoul and his wife, Karina of Houston, TX; grandsons, Thomas G. and Antonio A. MacKoul both of Houston and Nicholas C. And Ryan C. MacKoul both of Millbury; two sisters, Mary A. Broderick of Shrewsbury and Eleanor Graves and her husband, Jack of Clinton; a brother John L. MacKoul and his wife, Gloria of Worcester; nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother-in-law George Broderick.
Born and raised in Worcester, the son of E. Louis and Helen MacKoul, he was a resident of Millbury, since 1967.
George was founder and President of MacKoul Electric, Inc. which he founded in 1978.
George served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky. George was a member of the Willowdale Golf Club in Scarborough, Maine. George loved golf and spent much time at his summer residence in Old Orchard Beach. One of George's greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandchildren and his family. George was a very kind and generous person who could always be counted on. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.
His funeral will be held Tuesday Sept. 6th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. In Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 10 Waters Street in Millbury. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5th in the funeral home. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
