George Trudeau, 91, entered into heaven on February 23, 2016 in CareOne at Millbury. George was the husband of Anna (Tella) Trudeau for 65 years.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late George and Madeline (McCann) Trudeau.
Mr. Trudeau worked at Thom Mcann, the Melville Corporation for 40 years before retiring. George was a member of several organizations throughout his life. As a young man he played basketball and swam at the Ionic Ave Boy's Club of Worcester. George was a member of the Worcester Deaf Club and the Central Mass Deaf Senior Center, where he held many positions of leadership for 69 years. In 1957 George had his greatest accomplishment. He won a gold medal in Milan, Italy at the Deaf Olympics in the 1 meter low board diving competition.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, George Trudeau and his wife Charleen of Worcester, Deborah (Trudeau) Lacouture and her late husband James of Millbury. Mr. Trudeau was the grandfather of the late Joseph Lacouture, Jesse Lacouture, and Jennifer (Lacouture) Sullivan and her husband James. Mr. Trudeau was also great grandfather of Joseph C. Lacouture, II and Molly A. Sullivan. George was also brother of the late Robert Trudeau, the late Lynn Lebeouf, and Roy Trudeau and his wife Mary of Westborough.
George's calling hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 26th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main Street in Millbury. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery.
