MILLBURY – Germaine Antoinette (Auger) Chevalier, 90, peacefully passed away on January 18th surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Worcester to Alice and Mederic Auger, Germaine was raised in a home filled with love, laughter, and the camaraderie of her six siblings. She was affectionately known as “Big Red” for her beautiful red hair.

As a mother, she dedicated herself to raising her children with love, strength, and grace while supporting Richard in his work as co-owner of Chevalier Furniture. Their partnership extended beyond family life, as Germaine played a pivotal role in the founding of Chevalier Associates, a local advertising agency. Together, she and Richard also launched The Original Wedding Expo and The Bride and Groom Magazine.
A devout Catholic, Germaine was a long-time member of Assumption Parish and participated actively in Marriage Encounter, where she and Richard made lifelong friends through their shared faith. Her dedication to family, faith, and community was a testament to her character.
Germaine’s passions included competitive bowling, which she enjoyed with her sister and best friend, Cecile, and being a devoted Red Sox fan.
