MILLBURY- Gertrude M. "Gert" (Couture) Ellis, 90, of 33 Manor Rd., died Friday, Aug. 22nd in her son's home in Sutton.
Her husband with whom she would have been married 68 years, died last year. She leaves a daughter, Carolyn B. wife of Kenneth Moore of Sutton; a son Jesse A. Ellis Jr. and his wife Mary Ann Ellis of Sutton; two sisters, Gloria Trilligan of Orland, Florida and Norma McArthur of Grafton; four grandchildren, Kenneth Moore Jr., Lisa Trottier, Darren Ellis and Eric Ellis; four great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Millbury and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Board of Director of the Millbury Council on Aging and had been a volunteer at the Millbury Senior Center for 30 years.
Gertrude's funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Millbury Seniors, 1 River St., Millbury, MA 01527 or to St. Judes Children's Hospital P.O. Box 50 Memphis, TN 38101
