MILLBURY – Gilbert F. "Mickey" Anderson, 89, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 in the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Leicester. He lived most of his life in Millbury after he married his one true love Gloria.
His wife, Gloria M. (Bergstrom) Anderson, died in 2006. He leaves three children, Lisa Bishop and her husband, John of Millbury, Sandra Anderson Kemp of Texas and Terrence Anderson and wife, Kathy of Texas; six grandchildren; Michael Anderson of Chicago; Michelle Anderson of Texas, Tomeka Kemp of Texas, Alecia, Sarah and Hannah Bishop of Millbury; one great grandson, Nathan of Texas ; two sisters, Ina Noel of Millbury and Clarice Helstrom of Maine and 42 nieces and nephews. He was born in New Sweden, Maine and is predeceased by his parents, Anton and Dora (Larson) Anderson and 15 siblings.
Mr. Anderson was a member of Local 107 Carpenter Union for 42 years. He also worked at the Carpenters Training Center in Millbury and was a former member of the Millbury Lions Club for many years. He loved gardening, music, doing cartwheels, ice skating, dancing, having a good time, and living life to the fullest.
His calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18th in in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, followed by a funeral service at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in private in All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester.
