SUTTON Gloria M. (Roberts) LeBeau, 80, of 36 Boston Road, died Sunday, Jan. 9th in the VNA Care Hospice Residence, Worcester.
She leaves two daughters, Nancy A. LeBeau of Worcester and Linda C. Whitman of Northfield, N.H.; a grandson, Joshua G. Whitman; nieces and nephews and her long time companion, Arnold Nieuwenhoff. She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel G. LeBeau who died in 1991, her son, Ron LeBeau who died in 1990, her brother, Richard Roberts of Manchaug who died in 2000 and her sister Claire Lanoue who died in 1992. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Adonis L. Roberts and Beatrice (Ballard) Roberts Guertin. She graduated from Millbury High School and attended the former Ward School of Business Science.
Mrs. LeBeau was a supervisor for the State Department of Public Welfare for over 25 years before she retired.
Mrs. LeBeau was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church in Millbury, the Daughters of Isabella, the AARP Bancroft Chapter, the retired State County and Municipal Employers Association, the AFSCME Retiree Program and the Grafton Council on Aging. She was a member and past secretary of the Sutton Council on Aging and the Sutton EldersTM) Association and was past president of the former Franco-American Progressive Club Auxiliary in Millbury.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 12th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, South Grafton. Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11th in the funeral home.
