SOUTH GRAFTON - Gregory R. Jordan, 75, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 3rd.
Gregory leaves his devoted wife, Nancy A. (Nettelbladt) Jordan. He also leaves his two daughters, Maureen E. and her husband Michael Broyles of Millbury and Jessica A. and her husband Andrew Woodward of Denver, CO; two sons, Christopher E. Jordan and his partner Jean Chumsantivut and Gregg M. Jordan and his wife Courtney; seven grandchildren, Miles and Mason Broyles, River Houde, Jacob and Nicholas Jordan, Annabel and Anderson Woodward. He leaves five siblings, Marie Jordan, Patricia Jordan, Natalie and her husband James Young, Walter Jordan and Donald Jordan. He is predeceased by three sisters, Beverly Jordan, Elizabeth Richard and Nancy Jordan. He also leaves his best friend, Paul Fields, who he loved very much, and many nieces, nephews, and countless cousins and friends.
Greg was born in Worcester, the son of Earl and Ruth (Gregory) Jordan. He grew up in Millbury graduated from Millbury High School and Worcester Junior College. Greg enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served from 1966 to 1969. He fought in the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge.
Greg worked as the wastewater treatment manager for Johnson Steel and Wire for 15 years along with being facilities manager for Circon Technologies before starting his own contracting business, Jordan and Sons for over 25 years. Greg coached little league for Grafton with his sons and then continued with coaching hockey for many years with the Lakers Hockey Association.
Greg was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed nothing more than being Pupa to his seven grandchildren. There were many trips to Disney World with his children and then grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and above all, the Boston Bruins and Red Sox.
We would like to thank the Oncology Dept at UMASS Memorial for their wonderful care and to Notre Dame Hospice, who gave Gregory such amazing support.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Greg’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Monday, March 14th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. His funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
