MILLBURY - Harold E. Howard, 91, of 12 Cedar Ave., died Monday, July 21 in the Hospice Residence, Worcester.
His wife, Alice M. (McNamee) Howard, died in 1980. He leaves a son, Thomas E. Howard of Millbury; two brothers, Charles Howard of Millbury and John Howard of Sandwich; nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Stephen and Joseph Howard predeceased him. He was born in Millbury, son of Harry and Agnes (Johnston) Howard and has lived here all his life. He graduated form Millbury High School.
Mr. Howard was an appliance repairman for Worcester County Electric Light Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1974. He was a 1st. Lt. in the Army during WW II, serving in Europe and was awarded the Bronze Star.
He was a member of the Millbury Federated Church, the Charles F. Minney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and the Olive Branch Lodge of Masons. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and studying the German Language.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25 in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., (

). Burial will be in St. JohnTM)s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday July 24, in the funeral home. Masonic ritual 7 p.m. during calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speens St., Framingham, Ma. 01701.
