MILLBURY – Harry F. Marderosian, 71, died Thursday, April 2nd in UMASS Memorial Medical Center of Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Judy I. (Renaud) Marderosian; three children, Kelley M. O'Connell, Kimberley J. Marderosian and Keith F. Marderosian all of Millbury; two grandchildren, Heather L. O'Connnell and Matthew B. Levitsky; a sister, Florelda B. "Frill" Mard of Worcester. Harry was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Mabel (Lauzon) Marderosian.
Harry was a certified welder for New England Power Co. and County Heat Treating before he retired and was a past steward of the Local Union #4. He was an Air Force veteran and served with the 337th Fighter Intercept Squadron Strategic Air Command. He has been a member of the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post since 1969 and was a past Sr. Vice-Commander, Service Officer and a member of the Scholarship Committee. He was formerly a member of the American Legion State Honor Guard, County Color Guard and a District #4 Sergeant-at-Arms. Harry was an active member of the Millbury Lions Club and was formerly a member of their Board of Directors. He was a recipient of the Lion's Key Award and the Service Award in Health and Welfare. He was a member of the Millbury Veterans Council, where he was a past Sergeant-at-Arms and Jr. Vice-Commander of the Council. Harry was a past member of the Benedict Council of the Knights of Columbus and the former St. Brigid Men's Club. He played the French Horn in the Powers Star Harmony Drum Corp, the Fitchburg Kingsmen Drum Corp and the Lt. Norman Prince Drum Corp of Boston.
His Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 6th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 5th in the funeral home. Members of the Millbury Lion's Club will conduct a prayer service at 6 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home and the members of the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post and the Millbury Veterans Council will conduct a prayer service at 7 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home.
