MILLBURY – Helen M. (Gilbert) Collette, 106, died Friday, July 27, 2012 in the Millbury Health Care Center.
Her husband, Albert J. Collette died in 1986. She leaves two daughters, Shirley A. Huchowski and Evelyn R. Shepley both of Millbury; a son, Albert D. Collette and his wife, Doris of Millbury; 13grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was born in Sutton and lived in Millbury most of her life. She is predeceased by her parents, Daniel H. and Mabel E. (Flanigan) Gilbert, a daughter, Beverly R. Sheehan, three sisters, Mabel Collette, Mildred Vallee, Alice Gosselin and a brother, Daniel Gilbert.
Mrs. Collette was a spinner at Millbury Spinning, retiring in 1971. She enjoyed family gatherings, reading and traveling.
Helen's funeral will be held Tuesday, July 31st from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 10 Waters St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday July 31st in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Renovation Fund of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 12 Waters St. Millbury, MA 01527.
