Helen G. (O'Halloran) Dahlstrom formally from Dedham, passed away quietly on July 10th in Millbury Health Care. She had celebrated her 100th birthday in May of 2015.
She was born in Charlestown, Ma in 1915 and lived in Dedham most of her life. Mrs. Dahlstrom had survived John, her husband of 54 years, who died in 1995, and her sister Margaret Lenane from New York.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Schell of Peyton, Co, her son Jack Dahlstrom, of Venice FL, and her son Gerry of Sutton, Ma. She had four grandchildren, Lauren Lamb of Sutton, Amy Dahlstrom, of Oxford, Catherine Dahlstrom of Sutton, and Robert Dahlstrom, presently serving in the US Marine Corps. She had two great grandchildren, Genevieve and Kevin, whom she adored.
Mrs Dahlstrom worked for the telephone company in her youth, and for most of her working years at MacIntyre Fay and Thayer in Needham, Ma as an executive receptionist.
She is remembered for her constant cheerful attitude, her unselfishness, and her undying love and devotion for her family and friends. Those who knew her share their sorrow with her passing, but will recall the warmth and happiness she brought with her. She left a legacy of true Christian love and compassion.
Helen's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 21st at 11 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish at St Joseph's Church, 35 Hamilton Street in Worcester. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
