Helen R. Tivenan, 94, died Sunday, Oct. 6th and was a resident of Christopher Heights in Worcester.
She leaves nieces and nephews, among which are three very close nieces, Colleen E. Westbrook of NY, Maureen J. DiStefano and Sharon D. Matys both of Grafton and grandnieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Patrick J. and Jennie A. (Burns) Tivenan; two sisters, Margaret M. Deignan and Elizabeth J. Westbrook and three brothers, Edward J., Walter X. and John J. Tivenan.
Helen was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church and lived on Esther St. for over 88 years. She enjoyed history, poetry, Jeopardy and Scrabble. She was a graduate of Classical High School in Worcester and Becker College. She was employed at New England Telephone Company for over 23 years as a service representative and a manager's clerk.
Helen's funeral will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 600 Cambridge St. in Worcester.
Calling hours are Tuesday Oct. 8th from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the General Fund of Sacred Heart Church, 596 Cambridge St. in Worcester, MA 01610.
