Henry Pierce

August 3, 1925 — May 22, 2004

HOPKINTON Henry J. Pierce, 78, of Hopkinton, formerly of Millbury, died Saturday, May 22nd in Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation of Milford.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Edith F. (OTM)Neill) Pierce; a son Eric H. Pierce of Sutton; a brother, Russell A. Pierce of Crescent City, Florida; a grandson; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Myron D. and Isabelle M. (Potter) Pierce. He graduated from Worcester BoyTM)s Trade High School.

Mr. Pierce was a Welder for NortonTM)s Co. in Worcester. Framingham Welding in Framingham, Nelmor Co. in Uxbridge and Productioneering in Southboro, before he retired in 1989. He was a Navy veteran during WW II serving in the Asiatic and Pacific Theaters on the Elizabeth C. Stanton. He was a life member of the Charles F. Minney Post Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Millbury and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #6, in Milford.

His funeral will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 25th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
