MILLBURY - Irene R. (Cassavant) Williams, 72, of 95 Elm St., formerly of Middleton St., died Tuesday, March 12, at home, after being stricken ill.
Her husband, James F. Williams died in 1997. She leaves a son, James J. Williams of Worcester; three grandchildren, Angela L. Williams and Brian P. Williams both of Worcester and Michelle L. Williams of Thompson, Ct.; two great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of George and Emma () Cassavant and has lived in Millbury 43 years. She graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester.
Mrs. Williams was a bookkeeper at the former Grants Express in Worcester for 20 years, before she retired.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Worcester.
The funeral will be held Friday, March 15, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., ( www.mulhane.com ) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. Worcester Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday March 14, in the funeral home.
