SUTTON Irene M. (Scucko) Wood, 71, of 23 Heritage Rd., died Thursday, June 28th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.
Her husband, Herbert E. Wood Jr. died in 2003. She leaves three daughters, Patricia A. James of Oxford, Michigan, Donna M. Wood of Sutton and Lisa J. wife of Stephen Pulsifer of Sarasota, FL; a sister, Therese Perreault of Sutton; five grandchildren, Amanda and Michael James, Kathy (Pulsifer) Mendez, Rachel and Erika Pulsifer; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, and is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Irene M. (Mitchell) Scucko, a sister, Marie Smith and a brother, Joseph Scucko.
Mrs. Wood worked for the former Polyform Corp. in Westborough before she retired. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a Lector and taught CCD Classes at St. MarkTM)s Church in Sutton. She was an avid Red Sox Fan.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, July 3rd from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. MarkTM)s Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton. Burial will be in private in Howard Cemetery, Sutton. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 2nd in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sutton Fire Department Gift Account, c/o Sutton Fire Department, 4 Uxbridge Rd., Sutton, MA 01590, or to the Auburn District Nursing Association 191 Pakachoag Street Auburn, MA 01501.
