MILLBURY- James J. Cassidy, 84, passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2023 at UMass Memorial Hospital.
He leaves his wife of fifty-nine years, Janet L. Cassidy, his son Mykael S. Cassidy and his partner, Patrik Tirda; his daughter, Erin M. Cassidy-Sibley; his son and daughter in law Matthew J. Cassidy and Elizabeth Cassidy; his granddaughter, Rachel L. Salois and her husband, Donald Salois; grandson Bruce Heelan and great grandson, Cayson K. Salois. He was predeceased by his parents, James J. Cassidy, Sr. and Celima (Crepeau) Cassidy and sisters Margaret Czerwonka and Mary Kelley.
Jimmy graduated from Worcester Junior College and Worcester Industrial Technical Institute. He worked for various companies in the Worcester area including Wyman Gordon, Heald Machine, Morgan Construction and retired from Millipore Corporation in Bedford, Ma as a Project Engineer. Jimmy liked the game of golf and played in a league at Clearview Country Club until illness forced him to give it up. He thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to the class of 1956 high school reunions and the annual “Old Gang” banquet. He loved to read, dine out, travel and create lovely stained-glass pieces but his greatest joy was time spent with family and dear friends Len and Joan Norman.

Jimmy’s funeral service will be held on Friday June 16th at 10:30 am in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street, Millbury with an hour of visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 am, preceding the service. Burial will be in St. Brigid’s Cemetery.
