James Masters

SUTTON James W. Masters, 60, of 328 West Sutton Rd., formerly of Millbury, died Monday, Sept. 15, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.

He leaves a daughter, Sharon A. Heffernan of Charlton; a son, James W. Masters of East Douglas; a brother, Charles L. Masters of Northbridge a sister, Cheryl M Masters; a grandson; a close campanion, Mary Provo of Leominster. He was born in Worcester, son of John W. and Constance (Wilson) Masters. He graduated from Millbury High School in 1961.

Mr. Masters was a millwright machinist at Johnson Steel and Wire, in Worcester and most recently worked 19 years at Haartz Corp. in Acton. He was an Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War and a member of the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post. He was a 32nd degree mason and a member of the Olive Branch Lodge of Masons in Millbury and a member of the Melha Temple Shriners.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in St. PatrickTM)s Cemetery, Northbridge. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 17in the funeral home In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701.
