SUTTON-James M. Royce, Jr., 77, of 81 Town Farm Rd., died Thursday, April 6th in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his wife, Norma J. (Renbarger) Royce; a son, John E. and his wife Madeline Royce of Oakland, NJ; two daughters, Linda M. Mahler wife of Keith Mahler of Hampton, NH, and S. Jane Flink wife of Robert Flink Jr. of Rutland; a sister Marie Marks of LaFontaine, IN; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was born in Marion, IN and is predeceased by his parents, James M. Royce Sr. and Nevel B. (Planck) Royce.
Mr. Royce was vice president and merchandise manager at Thom McAn Shoe Company, womanTM)s shoe division where he worked for 35 years, retiring in 1981. He is a member of the United Parish of Upton and a life memeber and past vice president of the Two-Ten Footwear Association.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 10th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton. A calling hour will be held Monday April 10th from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Parish of Upton, 4 Central Square., Upton, MA 01568 or to the UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605 or to the Two-Ten Footwear Foundation, 1466 Main St., Waltham, MA 02451.
