Jeanne A. (Lapointe) Duggan 78, died peacefully Thursday, February 23, 2017 surrounded by her loving family following a long battle with diabetes.
She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Mark A. and Anita M. (Paretta) Lapointe. She is predeceased by her beloved husband John William Duggan Sr, her children Karen Duggan and John Duggan Jr., and her brother Andre Lapointe.
She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Duggan of Worcester and Joseph Duggan of Millbury, seven grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Jessica, Jeffrey, Rena, Shannon, Todd, and Jonathan, one great grandchild, Stephen III, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Jeanne graduated from St. Peter Marian High School before studying to become a licensed practical nurse. She worked at City Hospital, then many years at St. Vincent's Hospital until retirement. She lived most of her life in Millbury and raised her family there. She loved traveling, camping and most of all the ocean especially the Florida Keys. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jeanne's family on Monday, February 27th from 5-8 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 28th with a Funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Brigid Church in Millbury. Burial to follow at St. Brigid Cemetery.
