MILLBURY Jerry T. DeSantis, 92, of 4 B Colonial Drive, died Tuesday, August 17 in Radius Healthcare Center, Millbury.
His wife of 62 years, Rose G. (Gagliardi) DeSantis died in 2001.He leaves many nephews and nieces. He was born in Sora, Italy, January 9, 1012, son of Patsy and Mary (Viliani) DeSantis and came to the United States in 1913. He was predeceased by 4 brothers; Joseph and Jordan DeSantis, Emilio and Alfred Cancelli, and 2 sisters; Mary Manzolillo and Lucy Holmquist.
Mr. was a machine operator at Rockwood Sprinkler in Worcester and also at Felters Company in Millbury. He also delivered fuel for Howe Petroleum for many years.
He was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Chruch, itTM)s MenTM)s Club, and the Knights of Columbus, Benedict Council of Grafton. He was the honored "Old Timer" at the Millbury Old TimerTM)s Banquet in 1995.
His funeral will be held Friday, August 20 from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. BrigidTM)s Church., 59 Main St. Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery. Calling hours are today, 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
