MILLBURY Jesse A. Ellis, 89, of 33 Manor Rd., died Sunday, May 27th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his wife, with whom he would have been married 68 years June 17th, Gertrude M. (Couture) Ellis; a daughter, Carolyn B. wife of Kenneth Moore of Sutton; a son Jesse A. Ellis Jr. and his wife Mary Ann Ellis of Sutton; a sister, Naomi H. Ingoldsby of Agawam; a brother, Earl Ellis of Groton, CT; four grandchildren, Kenneth Moore Jr., Lisa Trottier, Darren Ellis and Eric Ellis; four great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Jesse and Helen B. (Charkowski) Ellis and a sister, Barbara Lunt.
Mr. Ellis was a press operator at the Felters Company in Millbury for 24 years before he retired. He formerly worked at Watson-Williams Company in Millbury for 25 years.
His funeral service will be held at Noon Thursday, May 31st in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p. m. Wednesday, May 30th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Millbury Seniors, 1 River St., Millbury, MA. 01527.
