Jessie E. (Stapor) Lemanski, 96, residing in Attleboro, formerly of Millbury, entered her new life on February 7, 2015. Her husband of 48 years, Henry J. Lemanski, died in 1987.
Born in Webster, Jessie was the daughter of the late Sophia Deren Stapor and Ignatius Stapor. Jessie was raised in Webster but was a resident of Millbury for 69 years. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1936 and attended Elizabeth Ollis Beauty School where she initially worked. In later years Jessie was employed by Telecron of Worcester and lastly in the dietary department of Worcester State Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening and card playing, especially cribbage.
Jessie leaves two daughters, Jean E. Toher of Burlington, NC and Shirley J. Aragon, wife of Leondes E. Aragon, of Franklin, MA. Her youngest daughter, Mary Ann Mosher, died on December 9, 2013 in Shelton, Ct. Jessie is also survived by her seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three brothers, Jan, Peter and Joseph Stapor and four sisters, Mae Petrosinelli, Veronica Piechocki, Ann Malachowski and Sister Sophia Wanda Stapor.
Visitation will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street, Millbury, followed by a celebration of her life with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury.
In lieu of flowers, Jessie had requested that donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of the donor's choice.
