SUTTON Joan T. (Tice) Johnson, 75, died Sunday, March 14th in her home, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, Robert L. Johnson; two daughters, Laurie A. Maynard and her husband, Robert of North Oxford and Lisa E. Guerra and husband, Joseph of Sturbridge; two sons, Christopher R. Johnson of Sutton and Timothy R. Johnson of North Grafton; a very close niece, Mary Beth Czaja and her husband Jay of West Brookfield; eight grandchildren, Kristen, Robert, Andrew, Jason, Thomas, Lauren, Catlyn and Sydney; a brother, David Tice of New York; several nephews and nieces. She was born in New York and is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Gudney (Davidson) Tice, a grandchild, Matthew and a brother, Harry Tice.
Mrs. Johnson worked for many years at New Jersey and New England Bell Telephone Companies. She was a member and former president of the Worcester Outdoor Sports Club, the Anna Circle of the Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member and former president of LCW of the church. She did volunteer work at several hospitals in the Worcester area. JoanTM)s family owned and operated Grafton Drycleaners and J&J Linens Service in North Grafton.
JoanTM)s funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20th in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St. in Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 19th in the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury and burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fund of the Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester, MA 01608.
