SUTTON- Joan I. (Carlstrom) Tighe, 70, of 164 Leland Hill Rd., died Wednesday, May 14, in her home, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Thomas J. Tighe Jr.; a son, Dennis T. Tighe of Sutton; four daughters, Patricia Ann Orell of Shrewsbury, Debra A. Hamm of Sutton, Michele M. Gaudette of Oxford and Christine Ann Bolduc of Worcester; her mother, Helen (Westerlind) Niemi of Cape Coral, Florida; two sisters, Susan Paige of Cape Coral, Florida and Ruth Valois of Auburn; 11 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Carl Carlstrom and has lived in Sutton 43 years. She graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester.
She was a member of St. MarkTM)s Church.
A funeral will be held Friday May 16, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, ( www.mulhane.com ), with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Marks Church, 356 Boston Road. Burial will be private. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 16 in the funeral home.
