MILLBURY John O. Brady, formerly of Colonial Dr., died Tuesday March 13th in Millbury Health Care Center, at the age of 89 years.
He leaves his former wife, Ehtel (Sharron) Schunmann; three sons, Michael Brady and Robert Brady both of Auburn and John Owen Brady Jr. of Shrewsbury; five grandchildren, David, Leanne, Jacob, Zachary and Nicholas; one great-grandchild, Tristan; a brother, F. Joseph Brady of Millbury and a sister, Margaret Leclaire of Millbury. He was born in Saugus, MA, on September 13, 1917 and is predeceased by
his parents, Joseph and Margaret (Kearney) Brady two brothers, Richard and Charles, two sisters Marion Blanchard and Agnes Milne and a grandchild, Matthew.
Mr. Brady graduated from Millbury High School, where he earned four letters in track and field. He was an Army veteran during WW II serving in Western Pacific, the Southern Philippines and Ryukyus (Okinawa). Upon his return from the war he was employed at Morgan Construction Co. as a machinist and retired from the company after 41 years.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 21st in Central Cemetery, West St., Millbury. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 15th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
