MILLBURY John C. Bunnewith, 69, of 125 Millbury Ave. also of Mashpee, died Sunday, Oct. 26 in New England Medical Center, Boston, after a short illness due to lung disease.
He will be sorely missed by his beloved wife of 49 years, Judith (Nettelbladt) Bunnewith his children, Debra, wife of Scott Burke, Karen Henault and Gary, husband of Cindy Bunnewith, his grandchildren, Duane and Jaclyn Burke, Kevin and Christie Henault, Corey, Brandon and Marissa Bunnewith and his sister, Roberta Belair, all of Millbury. He was born in Worcester, son of the late John and Christine (Hoel)Bunnewith. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in 1952.
Mr. Bunnewith was a self-employed master woodworker and carpenter for many years. He also taught carpentry at Assabet Valley Vocational School, in Marlboro for 25 years, before he retired.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester. He loved his family and his carpentry, gardening vacationing in Florida and traveling.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury Memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Association, One Abbey Lane, Middleboro, Ma. 02346 or to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, ma. 01701.
