John T. Carroll

SUTTON – John T. Carroll, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 7th in his home, surrounded by his loving family. 

John leaves his wife of 39 years, Luanne M. (Solitro) Carroll; three children Jessica DiGellonardo and her husband Nick, Cathryn Carroll, Michael Carroll and his wife Brianna. Eight grandchildren; Nicholas, Anthony and Austin DiGellonardo, Ava Carroll, Cian and Sean Michael Stevens, Kinsley and Madison Carroll; his seven siblings, Kathleen Conway and her husband Christopher, Nora Borraccino and her husband Ernest, Michael Carroll and his wife Robin, Matthew Carroll, Thomas Carroll, Mary Adams and Margaret Gifford; and his two beloved dogs Maggie and Duke. Predeceased by his father and mother John and Helen (Loan) Carroll.

John was born in York, ME and grew up in Worcester. He attended Worcester public schools and was a member of the International Union of Operators Engineers Local 4 and Army veteran. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and most of his time outside working on projects around the house and his trucks. He enjoyed westerns on TV with his dogs in his lap.

Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate John’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 15th from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. A reception will follow beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Dudley Gendron American Legion Post 414, 156 Boston Road, Sutton.
