John E. Heffernan, Jr., 86, died peacefully at home on Monday, June 2nd after a brief illness.
John leaves his wife of 30 years, Barbara M. (Kidik) Heffernan. He is predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth (Concannon) Heffernan. John also leaves two step children, Kerry Ann Riordan and her husband, Kevin of Burlington, CT and Brian Bubluski and his wife, Jennifer of Norfolk, MA. He was the beloved Pa to Lindsey and Matthew Riordan, and Andre and William Bubluski. He also leaves four grandchildren, Megan and Tara Heffernan, Ashley Tymoc and Max Averbach; a sister, Mary Boudreau of Watertown, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Freeley.
John's calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 8th from 3 to 6 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury.
His funeral will be held on Monday, June 9th with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main Street in Millbury. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. ( www.stjude.org )
