MILLBURY- John J. Hopkins, 79, of 15 Herrick Lane, died Friday, February 8th in his home, after an illness.
He leaves his wife, Constance C. (Hebert) Hopkins; children, Wayne T. Hopkins of Barre, Alan Gasco of Sutton, Gary Hopkins of Hudson, Corrine Cabral of Hudson and Rhonda Grasseler of Florida, also Gail Soderman and Joseph Gasco both of Douglas, William Gasco of Whitinsville and David Gasco of California; a brother, Donald Hopkins of Concord; a sister, Brenda Pulis of Concord; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. He was born in Concord son of Thomas and Josephine (Murchie) Hopkins.
He was a machinist at L. Hardy Co. in Worcester before he retired in 2001. He then worked part time at Kohls in Millbury. He was an Army veteran during WW II.
A private graveside service will be held at in Fairview Cemetery, South Grafton. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funeral, 45 Main St., Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
