GRAFTON John R. LaHair, Sr., 92, of 10A Zgonis Drive., formerly of Millbury, died Thursday, March 9th in Radius Healthcare Center, Millbury.
He leaves his wife Eva P. (Mongeon) LaHair, four sons, John R. LaHair Jr. of Nevada, George LaHair, Bruce LaHair, and Jay LaHair all of Worcester; three daughters, Deborah Sillanpaa of Vermont, Gail Ward and Rose Ward; two step-sons, Ronald Hunt of Uxbridge and Frederick Hunt of Millbury; three step-daughters, Alice Nason of Grafton, Johann Wilson of Worcester and Isabelle Hawkins of Ohio; sixty-two grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents George J. and Isabelle (Perron) LaHair and three daughters.
Mr. LaHair worked for the city of Worcester, at former Belmont home, retiring in 1978. He then worked at GorettiTM)s Supermarket, in Millbury for ten years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a former member of St. BrigidTM)s Church of Millbury and St. JosephTM)s Church in Leicester.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 15th at 11 a.m. in St. James Church, 89 Main St., South Grafton. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Fund of the Radius Health Care Center, 29 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527.
