SUTTON – John F. Monsam Sr., 67, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012.
He leaves his loving wife of 47 years, Carol A. (Madden) Monsam; three children, John Monsam Jr. of Sutton, Laura Marquis of Sutton and Melissa King and her husband, Keith of Whitinsville; four grandchildren, Amanda Marquis, Jacklyn Johnson, Ryan King, Teresa Medeiros; two great grandchildren, Gia Gillespie, and Jackson Duquette; a sister, Bonnie Morse and her husband Scott of Boylston and many cousins, nieces and nephews. John was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Leo Cormier. He was a member of the sons of American Legion at the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post in Sutton and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
John was a self-employed general contractor of JFM & Son General contractors, Inc. He will be truly missed by his loving family and many others.
John's calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 6th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 7th in the funeral home. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Sutton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
