MILLBURY - John J. OTM)Keefe., 76, formerly of Manor Rd., Millbury and of Shrewsbury and Florida, died Sunday, July 20 in the Blaire House of Worcester.
His wife Louise M. (Courtney) OTM)Keefe died in 1992. He leaves four sons,, John J. OTM)Keefe III of Royal Palm Beach, Fl. and Daniel E. OTM)Keefe and Patrick M. OTM)Keefe both of West Palm Beach, Fl. and Matthew J. OTM)Keefe of Worcester; three daughters, Louise M. Lebel of Millbury and Mary J. OTM)Keefe and Maureen J. Camaratta, both of West Palm Beach, Fl.; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A sister, Katherine OTM)Keefe predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of John J. and Bridget (Murphy) OTM)Keefe and returned to Worcester in 1998. He graduated from the former Commerce High School.
Mr. OTM)Keefe was a driver and a union stewart at United Parcel Service in Shrewsbury for 13 years, retiring in 1988. He was a Navy veteran during WW II and the Korean War and received the Purple Heart during WW II.
He was a member of the Charles F. Minney Veteran of Foreign Wars Post and a former member of St. BrigidTM)s Church, both in Millbury .
The funeral will be held Thursday, July 24, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury (

) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BernardTM)s Church, 228 Lincoln St. Burial will be in St. JohnTM)s Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, in the funeral home. The Charles F. Minney VFW Post will conduct a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 23. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, Ma. 02140.
