John Sheehan

MILLBURY - John T. Sheehan Sr., died Friday, June 10th surrounded by his family, after an illness,

He leaves his wife, Helen B. (Tighe) Sheehan; a son, John T. Sheehan Jr. of Worcester; a daughter, Kathleen M. Sheehan of Millbury; two grandchildren, Shawn Sheehan and Steven W. Ducharme; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, James and Mildred (Frazier) Sheehan; two sister, Eleanor Gosselin and Martha Hartigan and a brother, James Sheehan Jr.

John was a carrier and a clerk with the U. S. Postal Service at the Worcester Post Office before he retired. He then worked for Purolator Courier Service. He was a Navy veteran and a life member of the DAV.

His Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17th in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. in Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church, prior to the Funeral Mass. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. in Worcester, MA 01604.
