John Silveri, age 58, of Millbury, MA, passed away peacefully on December 27th, 2024, surrounded by his devoted family after a courageous battle with cancer.
John was born in Somerville on August 27th, 1966. He was the son of Concetta, and the late Gino Silveri. He is survived by his cherished and devoted wife Claire, his children, Kendra (Bobby), Alex, and Lucas, and his grandchildren Elisa and Johnny. He is also survived by his brothers, Tony and Gino (Susan).
John and Claire were a loving couple who treasured every moment they spent together. They were inseparable, whether it was running simple errands, exploring new coffee shops for their cappuccino dates, embarking on weekend trips, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Through life’s ups and downs, they consistently supported one another. Claire remained steadfast by John’s side throughout his battle with cancer until his peaceful transition to meet our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. John deeply adored his family and made it a point to express his love for them every day. The family’s favorite tradition, amongst others, was their annual summer vacation to Harwich Port, Cape Cod.
John attended and graduated from Somerville High School and Salem State University. He was a founder and co-owner of DGT Associates and Boston HelpDesk (BHD). He played a vital role at BHD as President and Principal Consultant, where he formed deep bonds with his team.
John, a devout Catholic, led a life shaped by unwavering faith, profound love, and a commitment to serving others. He served as the Treasurer for St. Vincent de Paul and was recently honored and humbled to receive the Top Hat Award for his outstanding contributions to the organization.
John had a deep passion for music and was a talented guitarist. His most recent band, InDecision, played many venues in the Greater Boston and Worcester areas. He possessed an extraordinary talent for connecting with people on a profound and uplifting level, infusing his surroundings with laughter and joy through his humor. We find solace in the knowledge that he is now reunited with his departed loved ones and is in the presence of our Heavenly Father. We take comfort in the promise of the Resurrection and the hope of eternal life in Christ.
