MILLBURY – John “Jack” A. Watters, Jr., 63, passed away surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer on Feb. 12th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Jack leaves his wife of 37 years, Patricia Ann (Baker) Watters; four children, John A. Watters, Jr. of Millbury, Christopher C. Watters and his wife, Katy of Oxford, Charles M. Watters and his wife, Jennie of Millbury and Marirose C. Watters of Millbury; three beloved grandchildren, Anabelle, Sophia and Lucas; a brother, James T. Watters and his wife, Sherri of Auburn; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Dr. John A. and Ann (Cahill) Watters; his uncle, Ed Cahill and his aunt, Ann E. Watters.
Jack worked for many years as a baker at Price Copper. He was a member of the Worcester Dart League for close to 30 years and a founding member of the ZETA PSI Chapter at WPI. Jack loved watching football with his family and scouting high school football games for Millbury. He enjoyed cooking and baking for his family, showing them how to do it right. Jack loved spending time with family at Point Judith. He was a mentor to many friends and family members and will always be remembered and missed.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jack’s life by gathering for calling hours on Friday, Feb. 16th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 17th at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street, Millbury. Burial will be private.
