MILLBURY – John “Jack” G. O’Connell, 76, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12th in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Jack’s wife, Barbara A. (Sullivan) O’Connell passed away in 2005. He leaves five children, John W. O’Connell and his wife, Michelle of Millbury, Colleen M. O’Connell-Tremble and her husband, Tom of Millbury, Michelle M. Wilga and her husband, Michael of Dudley, Thomas P. O’Connell and his wife, Patricia of Millbury and Jennifer L. O’Connell of Millbury; eleven grandchildren, Heather, Joseph, Sarah, Darren, Tori, Crystal, Thomas Jr., Cody, Jacob, Shannon and Danielle; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Agnes (Keane) O’Connell and two brothers.
Jack was a member of the Millbury Fire Department and retired as a Lieutenant of the Rescue Squad. He was owner and operator of Baker Fire Equipment in Worcester. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Jack’s hospice team for all their care and support.
Family and friends will honor and remember Jack’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Monday, Dec. 17th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. His burial will be private.
