MILLBURY – Joseph V. Colarusso, 92, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in his home, after a long and wonderful life.
His wife of 68 years, Loraine E. (Richard) Colarusso died last year. He leaves three children, Mary C. Benjaminsen and her husband, Frank of Northborough, Joseph V. Colarusso Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Iowa, Richard D. Colarusso and his wife, Mary Beth of Millbury; six grandchildren, Justin and Angela Colarusso, Kristen Mashinsky, Frank Benjaminsen III, Jori and Jacqueline Colarusso; two great grandchildren, Shane and Zachary Mashinsky; nephews and nieces.
Joseph worked at the Felters Company in Millbury for 40 years, before he retired. He was a Navy veteran during WW II. He was a member of the Century Sportsmen's Club in Auburn and enjoyed, camping, gardening and his family.
Joseph's funeral will be held Saturday, March 2nd from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 1st in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Bone Marrow Unit, 55 Lake Avenue, North, Worcester, MA 01655.
