MILLBURY – Joseph “Joey” Deschenes, 32, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023.
Joey is survived by his mother, Pam Buron of Auburn MA; his father Gerard Deschenes of Sutton, MA; his brother Ken Buron and his wife Vanessa of Hudsonville, MI; his brother Garrett Deschenes of Killingly, CT; his sister Christie Opatka and her husband Joe of Millbury, MA; Todd Deschenes and his wife Natasha of Millville, MA. Joey was predeceased by his niece Emma Buron and leaves behind nieces and nephews; Elliot, Eugene & Flora Buron; Grady Deschenes; Thomas, Jackson, Archie, and Lillian Opatka. He will be truly missed by his lifelong friend, role model and mentor Jim Perry; many aunts, uncles, cousins, his dog Bella and the countless list of friends that he has made over his lifetime.
Joey Graduated from Millbury Memorial High School in 2009. He was a Salesman for Atlas Distributing in Auburn MA for nearly 10 years where he would go above and beyond his call of duty for his customers and co-workers. Joey also passionately worked at the Elm Draught House Cinema in Millbury for approximately 20 years where he was well known by all that attended and planned on owning one day.
Joey loved all the New England sports teams, Country Music, Fishing, Hunting, Wiffleball, Darts, 4-Wheeling and Snowmobiling with Family and Friends. He put the needs of others before his own, he was loyal, honest and one of the nicest human beings you could have met. He was the Life of the party, loved to dance and would always put a smile on your face.
Joey was a Noble Lion in a world of Hungry Hyenas…
Joey has touched so many lives and it broke our hearts to lose him, but he did not go alone for he took part of us with him. He will be greatly missed and will always and forever be remembered in our hearts and minds.
